Dove 60 Second Treatment Shot – Review

When I think of hair care Dove doesn’t automatically spring to mind however I recently seen their 60 second treatment shot and decided to give it a go.

My hair is very fine and thin. I had it cut short last year and it hasn’t really grown much since. It’s also really heat damaged as I wash and blow dry my hair every single day (terrible I know) there’s maybe one or two days a month I don’t actually wash my hair so as you can imagine it’s not in the best condition. I also don’t condition it every day as it takes too much time so deep conditioners usually work well for me as I can use them in the evening after work or while having a bath.

To use this product you need to snap off the top, and apply to washed hair avoiding your roots, leave on for 60 seconds and rinse. I first used this as instructed and loved the way it washed out of my hair, it smelt really good and left my hair really soft and looking better than it usually did with normal conditioner.

The second time I have tried it, was on its own. My hair was feeling really dehydrated and damaged and looked awful. Instead of washing my hair I just rinsed it and applied it to all of my hair leaving for about two minutes and rinsing off. I wasn’t sure what the result would be but if anything I expected it to be greasy and possibly feel abit sticky. I left it in a towel for a while then unwrapped it to dry naturally.  I was very pleasantly surprised to find it left my hair very soft and feeling really clean. And not greasy at all.

You get 15ml product which does my hair just fine but I guess if you have longer and thicker hair it would probably do the lengths and ends. I can’t wait to use this again and I’m probably going to be using this once a week for a while until the condition improves!

Have you tried this? What did you think?
