Foundation is definitely my favourite make up item to buy so when I seen the new L’Oréal infallible total cover I had to buy it. I have seen a lot of advertising for this most memorably for me showing this covering up tattoos on Jamie Genevieve. It’s described as a full coverage but lightweight foundation that lasts up to 24 hours and is a matte finish.
There were 7 shades in total so it was pretty limited in my opinion. I brought the shade porcelain which I wouldn’t say is quite porcelain of course, but it is quite a light shade which matched me not too badly as I have pale skin. But not as well as I’d hoped.
The formula of the foundation was very different to what I expected. I did think it was going to be a thick liquid but it was actually a mousse texture, very similar to Maybelline dream velvet foundation which I never liked!
I have used this a few times over the past two weeks. On my first application I found this to be exactly what I expected which was full coverage and a matte finish. I did use this without any colour correcting underneath to see how well it would work on its own. I wouldn’t say it was very buildable as when I tried to layer the foundation, it seems to take the first layer away. I quickly realised the foundation had ‘set’ so its something you need to build quickly if you do need to.
The claim that it lasts 24 hours!? I’m not quite sure about that. I used this as I did with my other foundations with primer and setting powder which dependant on what foundation I use lasts pretty much all day, Unfortunately with this I found it went very patchy very quickly. It didn’t stay as even as when first applied and showed dry patches too. I have tried this a few times again and do quite like the initial application but it’s staying power wasn’t what I expected from a foundation claiming it lasts 24 hours.
I was really hoping I could tell you how amazing this was but in all honesty I wasn’t blown away. ALOT of other people have been raving about it so maybe try it for yourself and see what you think? For me it will be something I reach for when my others have ran out or I’ll only be wearing makeup for a short amount of time.
Have you tried this and what did you think?
I’ve heard a lot of people rave about it! However I did find 24 hours a long time for a foundation to stay on! Very helpful review xx

Love this post, so honest too! Thank you for sharing lovely.
Glad you liked it! Honesty is the best policy X
I agree, 24 hours? I don’t think so! Why do foundations say that! Xx
No idea! Can you imagine? x
